Lydia is a fashion historian, author and lecturer living and working in Perth, Western Australia. She gained her PhD from Bristol University in 2010 and has since been working as an academic and author, with her first publication, How to Read a Dress, released in early 2017. How to Read a Suit was released in February 2020, and the revised second edition of How to Read a Dress will be out in December 2021. She has been featured in Jezebel, NPR, Marie Claire (Spain), appeared on ABC's The Mix and is a regular contributor to local and national radio. She has an active social media presence and welcomes any enquiries, commissions or collaborations.
